Resco has posted an update to the Windows App Store for version 16.0.2.0 which addresses the app crash issue that was previously found.
Issue:
• On March 31, 2023, WennSoft posted a "Known Issue with Resco Mobile CRM Version 16.x" to the news and product updates section of the WennSoft Customer Portal along with emailing customers with a recommendation to not install version 16.x of Resco Mobile CRM until further notice.
Updated Recommendation:
• WennSoft QA has tested Resco's update in the Windows App Store for version 16.0.2.0 and confirmed that this addresses the app crash issue that was previously found.
Next Steps:
• Please download Resco Mobile CRM version 16.0.2.0 from the Windows App Store.
-
Currently, our recommendation is to NOT use this utility until further notice.
We were recently made aware of a critical issue with the SMS Archive Tool. This issue is data damaging and is being researched.
Until we have isolated the issue, it is recommended *not* to use this utility until further notice.
Please note, SMS Archive Data Utility is a completely different product than Professional Advantage Company Data Archive.
-
Currently, our recommendation is to NOT install the Windows App Store version 16 of Resco Mobile CRM until further notice.
We are aware of an issue with the Resco Mobile CRM version 16.x (Windows App Store only) where MobileTech exhibits issues such as only allowing for 1 Inventory item to be recorded. There are other areas of MobileTech that will exhibit similar symptoms of crashing or locking up. Fortunately, this only appears to be affecting the Windows App Store version of Resco Mobile CRM. iOS, Android, and Windows MSI versions are not affected by this issue.
Currently, our recommendation is to *not* install the Windows App Store version 16 of Resco Mobile CRM until further notice.
We are working closely with Resco to correct this issue and hope to have a hotfix available very soon. We will provide another update notification when this has been resolved with next steps.

WennSoft joins Volaris Group
As of the 16th February 2023, WennSoft has joined Volaris Group, itself an operating group of Constellation Software (listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange as “CSU”). Volaris is a Canadian buy-and-hold company that specializes in acquiring, strengthening, and growing vertical market software companies.
Volaris keeps all the companies it acquires (never re-selling them) and allows their companies to continue to operate autonomously.
Being inside Volaris and Constellation Software means WennSoft is now part of a $6+ billion portfolio with all the financial and operating benefits that this brings. It further underpins WennSoft’s strategic ambitions within the Field Service Management space.
What does this mean for our customers?
We will continue to improve our product and services offerings with the expertise and support of Volaris. Joe Alvarez has been promoted to the role of CEO and together with Jeff Nelson, our new VP of Sales and look forward to further building on our existing partnerships.
Does my point of contact change?
No. Your existing points of contact will all stay the same: the WennSoft support team for break/fix support, the project team for any ongoing Professional Services engagements and your Customer Success Management for anything outside of that.
We appreciate the trust you have shown in WennSoft so far and hope that you are as excited as we are about this significant move which will ensure we keep enhancing the strategic WennSoft product roadmap for you.

With many customers recently having upgraded, or in the process upgrading to MobileTech 9.0.75, we wish to make you aware of a known issue in the current release.
Customers have reported behavior where time entries are disappearing from technician’s devices after completing appointments and syncing. To be clear, this is not a data damaging issue as the data is present in the core system (TimeTrack), rather the time entries are no longer visible in MobileTech. We determined this issue was being caused by a Resco delete constraint that can be easily addressed with a small fix within Woodford. We would encourage any customer that has upgraded or plans to upgrade to MobileTech 9.0.75 to apply this fix.
This fix is included in MobileTech 9.0 SP1, which was released on March 15, 2023.

WennSoft product development has released a “hot fix” for a Dynamics GP Payroll issue which was reported to us on 12/07/2021 by Microsoft.
Microsoft has provided a correction for their 2021 end-of-year product updates (GP 18.04.1361 or GP 18.4.1384), in which the “In Addition to Salary” checkbox was inadvertently missing from the latest Payroll Transaction Entry window.
Because of the method Microsoft used to correct this issue, WennSoft is required to deliver a similar correction for our Signature alternate Dynamics version of the Payroll Transaction Entry window.
To this end, if you use either of the Dynamics 2021 release versions (GP 18.04.1361 or GP 18.4.1384) of Dynamics GP Payroll and you apply the PRTRX.Package per Microsoft’s instructions, then you should also install the equivalent correction for Signature 2018 R6 (18.04b06g626), as described in the below readme. Our correction returns the “In Addition to Salary” checkbox to our Signature alternate Dynamics version of the Payroll Transaction Entry window.
Click here for Readme containing the instructions for applying this hot fix.

Signature 2016
Mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics GP and all Signature products in the 2016 release series ends on July 13th, 2021.
As previously communicated by both Microsoft and WennSoft, the end of mainstream support means there will be no future compatibility or compliance releases, hotfixes, or payroll-related updates for all versions within the 2016 series.
If you are still using a 2016 product version and you haven’t already, we’d encourage you to discuss upgrade plans with your WennSoft Customer Success Manager or your Dynamics GP partner.

WennSoft has completed compatibility testing for the Microsoft Dynamics GP Mid-Year updates for both our 2016 and 2018 product series. While Signature 2016 R3 SP2 passed compatibility testing with flying colors, our Signature 1803b05 (2018 R5) release did not. What we found in testing the 2018 mid-year update for GP is that Microsoft introduced a table change to SY01500 (SY_Company_MSTR). This caused the following error to be generated when accessing WS Utilities: “Number of results doesn’t match the table definition”. To this end, hot fix W18g522BH is available for Signature 180b305 to resolve this issue. This hot fix is posted to our product download site, along with a Readme which provides installation instructions.
Here are the versions for the elements tested with each of the two updates:
Signature 2016 R3 SP2
• GP Version 16.00.0901 (R2)
• Dexterity Version 16.00.0034
• Canadian Payroll 16.00.0911
• Signature Version 2016R3g321
• EMS Version 2016R3g306Signature 18.03b05 (2018 R5)
• GP Version 18.03.1290
• Dexterity Version 18.00.0028
• Canadian payroll 18.03.1307
• Signature Version 1803B5g522
• EMS Version 1803B5g507For any customers using any version of Dynamics and Signature 2016, this is a reminder that this version reaches the end of mainstream support on July 13, 2021. After this date, Microsoft and WennSoft will no longer provide product updates for this version. There will also be no end of year/payroll tax updates – US and Canadian – for the 2016 series. If you haven’t already, please contact your service provider to start planning your upgrade. There’s a lot of new functionality waiting for you.

Lastly, MobileTech 8.5 tested successfully for compatibility with iOS 14.5.
Map2BOB 1.1.6
Includes updates to the Signature Integration for BOB. As we have transitioned the Signature integration to utilize the Signature Agent for all related communications, we’ve updated the business logic in Map2BOB accordingly. Each of these product updates also include correction to known issues, and any “hot fixes” that have been supplied since the prior product release.

The WennSoft team would like to share an important product update with those who use Schedule with Google Maps.
Recently, we've been made aware of a change to the Google Maps API requirements, which impacts the Routing feature in Schedule. Those using a Google Mapping API license may run into the following errors when attempting to create a Technician Route:
• "This API project is not authorized to use this API. For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API service plans please see..."
• "Go {message: "DIRECTIONS_ROUTE; REQUEST_DENIED: There was an issue performing a Directions request."
Who does this affect?
Schedule customers using a Google Mapping API license.
How has this issue been corrected?
The issue can be resolved by updating your license for Google Maps to also include the Directions API. Upon enabling the Directions API, the errors will be resolved.
This solution has been documented by our Support team in Solution #24312. Our product documentation has also been updated to reflect the new mapping API license requirements for Google.
